For those of you who use symbols in your username. These non-Alpha numeric characters caused a great many errors and had to be disallowed. If you used symbols in your username, please Register as a new member using ONLY letters and/or numbers.

Game loads but does not play: Check to make sure that your browser supports javascript. For users of Mac OS Safari browser and Opera browser users as of June 1, 2007: Tables 1 to 6 welcome your play. If you have a problem, email us and we'll get on it. Include the username, day and time you encountered the issue.

I click a seat but nothing happens: Make sure you enable "Allow Temporary Popups" in the rare case that your browser does not permit the smaller game window to open. We do not use popup ads on this website but we do use a pop window for our game to limit navigation while playing and to prevent bookmarking the dynamic game page.

I can no longer play or access the site: This is rare but in most cases it is one of two things. You have exceeded the number of allowable plays per session, a limit added to prevent site spammers, or, for those playing at work, your employer has blocked the site on their server.

Fortunately, the problems playing Spades Online are few and easy to correct. Our games work with the default settings of your web browser and while we recommend Internet Explorer and Firefox, they are not required to play. We try to make our Spades game as easy as possible. The game will tell you when it is your turn to bid or play. To bid, single click the number below your hand that best reflects the number of books or tricks you think you can win. Next, when the game says it is your turn to play, click the card you wish to play.

Note: if the game is already in progress, the Bot may have already bid your hand so be careful to notice what the bid is for the hand you are playing.

Some Games are now ranked! There is an over book penalty of 100 points for any team that makes 6 or 10 books more than they bid during any game. 6 for games that go up to 250 and 10 for games that go up to 500 depending on the table you select. The line below each table indicates how many points are required to win a game.

The object of spades is to make exactly the number of books/tricks you bid. Aces are highest, dueces the lowest, spades are trumph meaning, they beat all other suits. Our game also supports NIL bidding, meaning a player can choose to bid zero, to make nothing. If a player succeeds in making no books/tricks, that player and team is awarded, 100 points. Also, players are awarded 200 points for bidding and making 10 or more books. Tables 5 and 6 have Double Nil bidding which is, bidding nil before you see your hand.

This version of spades does not require you to download or install anything to play. However, it does require default settings to be enabled, which means most people do nothing to be able to play. For those of you who have disabled Javascript or place their security settings on "High," You will NOT be able to play our game. Those settings prevent javascript and do not allow your web browser to open the window in which the game appears. You MUST enable "javascript" and, if only temporarily, "Allow Pop ups". For some users with 3rd party popup blockers, you may need to turn them off in order to play. New Support for Mac or Opera on ALL TABLES! Enjoy!!!.

A few other notes about our game: Please click "Quit Game" when you are done playing. It helps to immediately allow the Bot to take over playing so other human players are not left waiting. Also, when you are chatting, click "SEND", it works everytime while the Enter Key may not.
